Robert Jones, b. 1777 in Rowan Co., North Carolina, married to Patsy Hawthorn b. 1793 in North Carolina. Children were: Mathew H. Jones b. 1795 married to Elizabeth (?) Martha Jones, b. 1793 Sarah Jones, b. 1806 not sure if the following were children possibly of another marriage or grandchildren. Robert R. Jones, b. 1831 in North Carolina, married to Martha Ann Elizabeth Harrison on August 28, 1856 and died March 08, 1863. John Jones, b. 1833 Mathew H. Jones to first child of Robert was b. 1795 and was married to an Elizabeth (?). Their children were: Sion Jones, b. 1825 in (I believe) Pulaski Co., Georgia married to Elizabeth Morgan (daughter of Daniel and Mary Morgan) 2-03-1853 Sion died August 14, 1864 and Elizabeth was said to have sold land and moved to Texas with her seven small children to live with her parents.
