It now seems that I was looking for the wrong first name for my GG grandfather. Before I was looking for a McKinney "Kinney" Johnson b. 1798 Surry Co. m. Sarah ? b. 1808 He turned up in Murray Co., Ga. in 1850 census like I had thought but his name is RAMSEY JOHNSON b. 1798 NC. He has same wife, and all ten children and dobs are the same . Anyone with any info on a RAMSEY JOHNSON that they can provide to me?
