I am still looking for anyone who is researching the JOHNSON of Surry Co., NC between 1798-1845. My GG grandfather I believe was McKinney "Kinney" Johnson b. 1798 Surry Co. m. Sarah ???? b. 1803. He owned land in Capt Mears district in 1835 and these JOHNSON males owned land bordering his which leads me to believe they were probably kin... Calvin, Kimbro (blacksmith), Charles and Drury. anyone know anything about any of these people? maybe it doesn't fit into your research but you could have the clue I need to start looking in another direction for my ancestors. thanks jcjohnson of va
