This is my first post to your newsgroup so I hope I do this right: Seeking parents of Peter G. NORMAN, born 1801 Surry Co., NC. Married Nancy HAYS 13 May 1839 in Monroe Co., IN. Nancy Hays was also from Surry Co. He had a wife before that, Nancy MATHIS, and I think one preceded her too. He had 23 children in all, 108 grandchildren. He died 25 May 1875 in Lawrence Co., IN. He left a considerable estate, and his family fought over it through years of litigation. I can't find anything about him on the internet, and as many descendants as he has, you'd think someone out there would have something on him!
