I am desperate for information on the William Elliott family of Surry Co., NC. William and his wife Eleanor were in Surry as early as 1771 when he appeared on a tax list. He died there in 1802 (date of probate). He named in his will, sons, Nimrod, William, Jr., and Washington (a minor), and daughter Eleanor, (a minor). I believe he also had daughters named Chloe who married Raleigh Leroy Holcomb and Theodocia who married Thomas Holcomb. Would love to correspond with anyone who is familiar with this family.
