    1. [NCSURRY-L] JOHNSON of SURRY CO.
    2. IF anyone has an FTM that they could check in the 1830 and 1840 census of SURRY CO> for a JOHNSON, first name maybe McKinney, Kinney or even William M. b. 1798 m. SARAH. They would have probably (4) children at the 1840 census 2 boys between 5-10 and 2 girls less than 5 wife would be about 32. may live in Capt. MEARS district on Beaver Dam Creek. in no one finds this particular person if possible would someone send me a copy of the JOHNSONS in 1830 and 1840 census and I will personally research them all until I eliminate them. I know my GG grandfather was in Surry Co. from 1798 until about 1845 before going to Georgia. It is possible he may have changed his name sometime. It is also believed that he was part Cherokee indian. The JOHNSON features certainly would substantiate that claim. any help would be appreciated tks jcjohnson of alex.,va
