Hi Joan, I have a Woodruff ancestor, Prudence Emily Woodruff m. James Franklin Adams. She was the daughter of David Woodruff, born abt. 1794 and Betsy ? Woodruff, botn abt. 1802. In 1850 they were living in Wilkes Cty. I believe his father was Gideon Woodruff of Surry Cty. I know little about the family other than the above. Would we interested in what info you have. Thanks.
