    2. Mike, Just a quick note here. Noticed the Taliaferro surname in your post below. I am looking hard for Harris and Blackwell in Surry Co., NC and have seen the Taliaferro surname many times in deeds, marriage bonds, and court papers etc. The time frame is from the eariest records I can find (1770's) to about 1810. I seem to remember a Joseph Taliafero for some reason. This all from LDS tapes I checked out. I have no Taliaferros in my line but since you seem to be interested in the surname I thought maybe this note might help.
