I am seeking information on James MORTON, sonof Samuel MORTON and An HOLTON MORTON. I have read where James had some property in GA and might have alienated himself from his father. In 1790, there was one white mail named JAMES MORTON over the age of 16). In particular, I need to know who James married and the names of his children. Looking for something that includes the following children: David MORTON (born circa 1800 Buncombe County, NC), George MORTON, Thomas MORTON, one unnamed MORTON son, and sister, Mary Ann MORTON. All were born in Buncombe County between 1798 & 1806. James's brothers, Samuel and William, I believe, migrated to Blount County, TN, while David and siblings migrated to Anderson/Union County, TN.
