Hello, I apologize for a second message inadvertantly sent before I finished. I will try once again, and if it's incomplete, will any interested parties contact me and I'll try to communicate better?! To Marla message dated 11/17/98 10:21:26 PM, V98, #18 about children of Captain William MEREDITH (son of James and Mildred BAGBY), I assume you have James' and Mildred's wills and names of their 4 other children (James, Jr., Daniel, Sam, and Mary who wed John BUR <<I have been researching the family of Captain William Meredith who fought at the Battle of Kings Mtn during the Revolution. He is mentioned in records of Surry, Stokes, and Wilkes Counties. He was the son of James Meredith and Mildred Bagby, also of Stokes and Surry Counties. He was married to Ann Bonds and had children. He was married second to Rebecca Keyes Noblett. He may have died in Adair Co. Kentucky, leaving a will but only mentioned two of his children. He stated that his other children had received their inheritances. I am interested in learning more about his children, especially his son James B. Meredith. Any help or information would be appreciated. In 1790 there is a deed transaction for a David Witherspoon in Wilkes Co. that was witnessed by a James B Meredith and Nancy (X) Meredith. I would like to learn who the James B. Meredith is and his wife Nancy. I believe them to be my ancestors who were a James Meredith and Nancy Fulkison (Fulkerson). Any help or information would be appreciated. Marla >>
