Roberta, I read your posting on William Shore. Did you mean to say that Eliz Shores and David Sammons went to IN in 1845 or did William go to IN in 1845? Eliz and David are my gg grandparents and were not married until 1850 (it was the second marriage for David, his first wife was Nancy Pettijohn). They are listed in the household of Susannah Shore in the census of Surry in 1850 as being married in the past year. Do you have a copy of William's marriage application? John R. Sammons
