For a number of years I have been searching for the Parents of a "Leroy H. Hodges". Family talk has been that his Parents might have been from North Carolina and moved to Laurens Co., South Carolina. Leroy was on the Census in Laurens Co., S.C. for 1830, Abbeville, SC for 1840 and in Jefferson Co., Alabama for the 1850. Also, Leroy and wife could have been part or full Cherokee Indian. Does any one have anything for any HODGES that might have a Male infant in or around 1806 that might fit in for Leroy. There is so much we have been able to find on Leroy after the 1830's when he showed up on the Census, and we have found all of his children. But, we can not find his parents names at all.
