I'm looking for the following will. Could be in Stokes Co where he died. Found this note in rootsweb: Will of Thomas Gorden;1803; Co Judge, Surry County, NC, Nunc will recorded 7 MAY 1803; Will book 3 1792-1827, pp 58-59 Died by lighting strike (both he and his wife, Sarah) in early May 1803. Would like to get a copy of the will thanks Nolin Christensen

If you send the NC Archives this information, they should send you a form to complete to get a copy of the will. If they have it, they'll send you a notice and then you send them the money for the copies. Usually it's no more than $2.00. I've gotten several that way.
