Just a note to everyone on the political front, but Carolyn K. Justice, carolynj@ncleg.net, is part of NC House panel studying possible changes in NC cemetery laws. I didn't see a specific web site for her, but got this from wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolyn_K._Justus Please take time to send her an Email outlining your support of legislation that protects private family cemeteries, and all cemeteries in general, from urban encrachment and development and also that leads to their preservation. All too often, we hear of a cemetery being overrun by development and the graves of those who were buried there are gone forever. Unlike highway development, some local private developers don't even bother to notify local government officials of graves since it would cost them time and money to remove. The President of the Surry County Genealogical Association, Andy Hennis, has already sent her a letter asking for her support in protective legislation. Bob Carter Greensboro, NC
