    3. Mary, I can be of help to you. My Webb's were in Surry County possibly as early as 1773. They came from Northumberland Co., VA. They were John Webb (my 4th G-Grandfather) and his brother William and sister Sarah Webb-Wilkins. They all resided in the NE corner of Surry, not far from the Rockingham County line and the Virginia line. The marriage record of Susannah Parr and John Webb in December 1804 is either a 2nd marriage of John Webb mentioned above or a first marriage of John Webb, 1st son of William. From the evidence I have, I tend to believe it is the older John Webb. I also have information on the William and Isham Webb of Henry and Patrick Counties. I'll be glad to help and share in any way I can. NC who may have come from or gone to the Patrick or Henry Co. VA. area. Any Webb names during that time will be appreciated. Thanks. Mary ______________________________

    3. There is reference to an Isham webb who was the son of William. This Isham Webb married Anne Farmer on 25 Oct 1770jin Goochland Co Va, then settled in Patrick Co His will is probated in 1799 in Patrick. There is a sketch on the Webbs in John Perry Alderman's book CARROLL 1765-1815, THE SETTLEMENTS. A map in the book shows William WEbbs land on Stony Creek not far from the Surry Co line. If you think this is your family let me know and I will try to scan the pages for you Lucinda PS the children named in William Webb's deed are Isham, Nancy, Elizabeth w/o Daniel Carlan, Molly Ann Hazelwood (she was married to a Quillen prior to marriage to Hazelwood, Morning w/o Martin Doyal.. Morning Webb died in Logan Co KY. William Webb is thought to have married Morning Pruitt d/o Andrew Pruitt. Isham Webb in his will mentions a son Isham, 3 daughters not named in will. The identity of the daughters in found in one the deeds and shown Nancy Tally w/oSpencer TAlly, Hannah w/o Martin Tally, and Patsey w/o James Carlan. All deeds are in Patrick Co. ....Stand ye in the ways and see and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
