I have info on a number of Staffords who lived in Stokes County during the period 1800-1850. Do you have more info on the GEORGE STAFFORD you are looking for ? His parents, siblings or children ? Hopefully, I may be able to connect him to the STAFFORD lines I have been working on for the past twenty years. These lines apparently originated in Maryland/Delaware and migrated to North Carolina (e.g., Randolph, Guilford) prior to settling in Stokes County. Later generations settled in several areas located in Forsyth County, e.g., South Forks Township and Kernersville. I am also searching for info on JOHN STAFFORD, SAMUEL and GABRIEL STAFFORD who are listed in a number of Stokes County census, i.e., JOHN is listed in the 1810, 1820, 1830 and 1840 enumerations; SAMUEL is listed in the 1810 and 1840 enumerations; GABRIEL is listed in only in the 1820 census. I have info that JOHN owned land in the "Salem and South Forks District/ Township" areas --whereas SAMUEL owned land in the "Peters Creek" and the "Quaker Gap(p)" areas . Any info you may have on JAMES, SAMUEL and/or GABRIEL, including their descendants would be appreciated.
