    3. Wayne Till, IN the 1860 census Joseph Farrington and Nancy were living next door to William and Elizabeth Hall. They were the parents of Delilah Hall wife of Alson Smith/Brown. Delilah was 7 years older than Alson and i notice that Nancy is 10 years older than Joseph. This is in Greensboro Guilford Co. NC. In the 1870 Census house 12 Marion and Polly Farrington were living next door to house 13 David and Sarah Stack ( i believe she is a daughter of William and Elizabeth Hall) and Elizabeth Hall is living with the Stacks. In house 16 Nancy and Wilson Farington are living. This is in Deep River Township Guilford co NC. It appears these families must be related since they are in such close proximity to each other. Since Nancy Farrington is listed as an Aunt to Avery William Smith she may be the sister of Delilah Hall. Avery W. Smith was listed as Avery W. Brown after the 1880 census and on the death record. He died 16 Jan 1938. Are there cemetery books for Guilford Co. NC. which may have the graves of Joseph, Wilson, Squire and Nancy Farrington. Thanks, Clara ----- Original Message ---- From: Wayne Till <waynetill@comcast.net> To: ncsurry@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, April 21, 2008 12:38:28 PM Subject: Re: [NCSURRY] NCSURRY Digest, Vol 3, Issue 41 - Nancy Farrington Nancy Farrington, b. abt 1822 NC was the wife of Joseph Farrington, b. abt 1832 NC. I do not have a maiden name for Nancy or a marriage date. The 1860 census in Guilford indicates that Joseph was a farmer, and he and his wife and sons, Quincy, b. abt 1852 NC, and Squire, b. abt. 1854 NC were all born in Guilford, NC. However, Joseph is not in Guilford in the 1850 census, in fact, I did not find a Joseph Farrington in the 1850 census in North Carolina By 1870, Joseph is not in the census, probably deceased, and Nancy is living in Guilford with Wilson Farrington, b. abt 1852 NC, probably the son identified as Quincy in the 1860 census. I don't have any data on Alison or Avery Brown/Smith. Wayne Till On 4/21/08 12:00 AM, "ncsurry-request@rootsweb.com" <ncsurry-request@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
