I request a lookup for my 4G Grandfather, Vincent Brown (b. abt 1771, d. aft 1827). He had at least 3 marriages: To Sary Brown reportedly on 3 Feb 1791 in Stokes (not shown in the NC Marriage Index on Ancestry.com) To Sally Cooper on 6 Jan 1806 in Stokes (shown in the NC Marriage Index on Ancestry.com) To Hesse Farrington on xx Apr 1806 in Stokes (the NC Marriage Index on Ancestry.com does not show the day) A file at the FHL lists a Sally Churchwell who married a Vincent Brown on 7 OCT 1790. I only found one Vincent Brown in the early censuses, so if this is correct, it represents a fourth marriage. Apparently he sold his land to pay debts in 1827 and was declared insolvent, so he may not have had an estate to be probated, but there may have been a will. I did not find him in the 1830 or 1840 censuses. Thanks for your help. Wayne Till
