Teresa, Mourning Harris, dau of Robert and Lucretia you refer to, married William Burch about 1783. William was the son of William Henry Burch and Mary Ann Lawrence. He was born 10 May 1764 on Haw River (in Rowan county NC?) and died 17 Sept 1848 in Monroe county IN. He supposedly had a son named Bezeleel Burch. (As in Bezeleel Brown.) Sometime between Nov 1809 (father's will) and 1812, Mourning must have died as William married Elizabeth Ritter on 2 April 1812 in Surry NC. Now please note: All the above was provided by a Burch researcher and I have not proven any of the names, dates or places. I am researching my spouses Burch ancestors in Surry NC. They came from Lunenberg VA but do not seem to connect to this William Burch.
