Joseph L. Reavis was on the following census records: 1850 Surry Co., 1860 Wilkes co., and 1870 thru 1900 Yadkin Co Census. Joseph L.. Reavis' parents were Joseph Jr and a first wife, he later married Elizabeth Axom, and his father was Joseph, son of James-2 Reavis who settled in Surry Co . by 1773 when he was admitted by letter to Dutchman's Creek Baptist Church.
