There shouldn't be any great mystery as to who your William Harris was who died in Wilkes Co.NC in 1848 at the age of 96. That makes him the exact age to be the son of Major Robert Harris & wife Mourning Glen - since they had a son named William born March 15, 1752 who was a twin by the way with his sister Elizabeth born the same day. The records I've seen don't have any information of what became of him after his birth in Albemarle Co. but by these dates this seems very very likely to be him. Susan Avery Winston-Salem, NC NC
