    1. [NCSURRY] Fisher's River and Fisher's Creek, Surry Co., N.C. .Where was it located?
    2. My ancestor Abraham Haynes/Hanes, married ca1810 Lucy Reavis, d/o David Reavis Ab & Lucy were on the 1810 Surry co NC census. He purchased land, 150 acres on the head of Fisher's Creek in 1808 (Grant Bk 17), beginning at Rattelgers corner, Wales Line on Wesleys Road, Sorrell's corner on Fisher's Creek. And in Dec.1810 purchased 100 acres frm Isaac Hudson, witnessed by John Wooten and John Masters; being described as on the head of Fisher's Creek, on Wilkes Rd and John Wooten's Corner. The third tract of land, 50 acres frm Joseph Jenkins in Jan 1808, witnessed by Nicholas and John Masters. Described as beginning at Shaw's Corner, incld. improvements on Fisher's Creek. He sold the 150 acres he bought frm Hudson and Jenkins in 1813 to John Hanes. This was deed was witnessed by Thomas Hanes (and registered in 1823 by oath of Thos. Hanes) and John Reavis, probable Uncle of Lucy. Where was Fisher's Creek located? Have found also a Fisher's River and Old Fisher's Creek Primitive Baptist Church in same area. Thanks Barb

    3. >From what I can remember, Little and Big Fisher's River (Creek) runs from northwest Surry (from Grayson County, VA) to down near Dobson to the Fisher River which then empties into the Yadkin near Rockford. Someone who is more familiar with the rivers might offer better info.
