Hugh, I don't know much about Zackeri Jefferson. Judging from the tree I acquired from my Surry county relatives, he must have been born in the early 1800s. I am trying to research my Jacks family history in the Yadkin, Rowan and Surry Counties, according to records, Richard Jacks b. 1713 lived in Maryland until 1756 then he moved to Rowen County, North Carolina by 1769. Richard died 1787 leaving a will. At this time Ann (Garland? or Keen?), his wife, was still living.
