Searching for parentage of a Solomon Collins b. 1823 NC and David Collins b.1828 Va. Solomon and David are believed to be brothers but could be cousins. David may be a middle name, so any Collins b. 1828 may be a suspect. Solomon m. Nancy Vippencon/Vipperman in Stokes County in 1841, and David Collins m. Ruth Vipperman in 1847 in Patrick County, Virginia. Ruth was the d/o George Daniel and Annas Hopkins Vipperman. Nancy and Ruth may have been sisters or cousins. These Collins men are thought to have came out of Surry County near the Mt. Airy area but this is only a theory based on some oral history. There was a Samuel HUTCHINS on the 1870 census in Yadkin Co NC. and a Samuel HUTCHENS who enlisted 18 June 1861 in Civil War from Yadkin Co. Are they the same person? Did he marry and if so, to whom?
