Looking for parents of William A. Clayton, born in Stokes 11/29/1818; he married Ellendar Westmoreland , daughter of Taylor & Martha (Patsy) Westmoreland in 1841; he died 12/24/1901 in Forsyth Co(this part formerly Stokes. They had the following children: Martha J.,born 1842;John F.,1845-1916; Louisa C.,brn 1848; Sarah A., born 1851; Elizabeth L.,born 1851; Mary E., born 1853; Olivia E., born 1860; & Kisiar Magoline, 1864-1945, married Adolphus Hilary Kapp. William lived around both the John Clayton,Sr. family and the Brittain Clayton family, but no evidence he came from either.
