The Edmund Witt (d before 1790) family originated in what is now Stokes CoNC. The widow Ann Witt appears in the 1790 census of Stokes CoNC. Their 10 children can be adduced by marriage records and by appearance in census records of Russell and Lee CoVA. Sometimes their surnames appears as WITT and sometimes WHITT. Does anybody know anything about this WITT family.
