    3. Hi Karla, Yes, it is very hard to find NC information in CA. The following, where I got my information, resulted from a trip to Washington DC I took last year. My individual Shelton line left NC around 1800 and went into Grainger Co, TN and from there into Franklin Co, MO around 1824. That is why I was only interested in this time period, plus it was only one of several possibilities where my Sheltons may have come from. I still have no positive proof this is where my Shelton line came from, but this looks better to me all the time. When you can get to your information, I would like very much to know your Tilley/Vernon - Shelton connection.
