Since the Zachariah WALL family is found in both Rockingham and Stokes Counties, I would like to learn more. Here's what I've found so far: 1 Zachariah WALL (parents unknown to me) ...b. abt. 1796 (see 1850 census Rockingham Co, #722) ...d. by Aug 1851 (will probated Aug 1851 Rockingham Co, Book C, p. 120) ...m1 Elizabeth SMITH daughter of Joshua Smith ........d. by Nov 1821 Rockingham Co (in Court Minutes Zachariah was appointed guardian of his children) ...m2 Jane PEEPLES, daughter of Lewis Peeples ........d. by 1847 ...m3 1 Apr 1847 Stokes Co NC, Elizabeth G. (SMITH) ZIGLAR, widow of Leonard Ziglar (this wife is the one in the 1850 census with Zachariah and the one named in his will) Children named in Zachariah's will: Zachariah L. WALL Granville M. WALL Robert WALL Samuel S. WALL William J. WALL Frances WALL m. Peter HAY Elizabeth P. WALL Lucy A. WALL Louisa M. WALL It appears that all the children were born by the first two wives. Does anyone know which ones to which wife? Also does anyone have any further info on Zachariah, wives, and his children and their spouses and families? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
