I have three Darnells that I believe lived in Stokes Co., NC. It is thought that Augustin was born there about 1795. Martin (Augustin's son) and Edward Campbell (Martin's son) both married in Stokes County. Edward Campbell's wife was Saluda Ellendor Stout (married Nov. 19, 1876, in Stokes Co.) and Martin's wife was Martha Elizabeth Tillotson (married Dec, 4, 1851, in Stokes Co.). On the 1880 Stokes County Census Saluda is living with her mother-in-law but neither Martin nor Edward Campbell are listed. I have not been able to find out where or when these three men died and are buried. If someone has access to Stokes County cemetery books, I would appreciate very much if you would see if you can find them for me.
