Hello, LIst, Karla asked about a map that shows districts. This isn't exactly it, but The Library of Congress has a website that has a huge database called American Memory, Historical Collections. http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/collections/finder.html The URL for the exact page was too long to put on, so go to site above, click on Maps. There are maps for Cities and Towns, some aerial. All the ones I looked at can be zoomed in or out. There are also old Railroad Maps, including one of NC at 1839. It does show the towns at that time, which might help with the districts. Lots of other stuff there, perhaps you'll hook up with other family tree locations, too. Have fun! Becky
