He m. Anna/Joanna TINSLEY. Of their children the following moved to Jefferson Co.: Nehemiah VERNON, Richard VERNON, Mary VERNON, wife of Mordecai BROOKS, Anna VERNON, wife of Daniel HUTCHINSON, Sarah VERNON, wife of William BURROWS/BURRIS and later Lewis DAVID, Elizabeth VERNON, wife of Jeremiah WILKINS. Sons Isaac and John VERNON, stayed in Stokes Co., Daughter Agnes VERNON, wife of Charles CRUMP, moved to Elbert Co., Ga., and later Alabama.
