Searching for information on the Hartgrove's of Stokes Co. Especially interested in information concerning Catherine Hartgrove (born ca. 1776 died ca. 1850-1860) and her three illegitimate sons: Bartlett (born 1800), Hampton (born ca. 1812) and Martin (born ca. 1820). Would like to confirm identity of children's father. There is a bastard bond in Stokes for Bartlett listing Peter Frey (then moved to Rowan Co. in 1800 at the time of birth) as his father and it has been said that the same was father to both Hampton and Martin.
