SIDES, SEITZ, SPACH, ROTHROCK, LANG, LONG, RIKE, REICH, SCHULTZ, FOLTZ, DODSON, LONGWORTH, KIMEL, ROBERTS, JOHNSON, ECCLES, FAW, HARPER As part of my large ROTHROCK family tree; I have a large SIDES family section that lived mainly in Forsyth but some in Davidson County, North Carolina. Here is one of the families I am working on and would like to trade information on the descendants of this family. Jacob SIDES (1793-1840) married Maria (Mary) SPACH (1793-1868) in 1818 at Friedberg, Forsyth Co., NC and are buried at Friedberg Moravian Graveyard. Jacob was the son of Johann Phillip Christoph SEITZ (SIDES) (1767-1844) who married Eva ROTHROCK (1774-1835) in 1792. Mary SPACH SIDES was the daughter of Johannes SPACH (1762-1844) and Catherine Barbara LANG (LONG?) (???-1819). Jacob and Mary SIDES were the parents of nine known children: i. Maria Louisa SIDES (1818-1869) married Robert Alexander RIKE (REICH) (1821-1890) in 1843 at Stokes Co., NC. They moved to Farmersville, Collin Co., TX in Apr 1850. They had eight children and are buried near Farmersville. Robert was the son of Johannes Reich (1795-1851) and Maria Agnes SCHULTZ (1799-1878). ii. Lucinda SIDES (1820-1864) married Edward FOLTZ (1818-1884) in 1840 at Stokes Co., NC. They had four known children and are buried at the Friedberg Moravian Church. I don't know who Edward FOLTZ was the son of. iii. H. Ludwig (Louis) SIDES (1821-1906) moved to Texas c1850 and married Melissa C. DODSON (1830-1891) in 1855 at Collin Co., TX. They were the parents of four known children and are buried at Collin Co., TX. iv. Eli SIDES (1823-1907) married Jane LONGWORTH (1832-1906) in 1853 at Forsyth Co., NC. Jane was the daughter of George LONGWORTH (b. c1796 in VA) and ???. Eli and Jane were parents of 11 known children and are buried at Friedberg. v. Catherine SIDES (1826-???) married Alfred KIMEL in 1851 at Forsyth Co., NC. Nothing else is known of them. Did they move out of state? vi. William Philip SIDES (1828-1868) moved to Texas and married Theresa E. ROBERTS (WHITE?) in 1858 at Fannin Co., TX. They had one child, Charles Stanley SIDES (1859-1905). vii. Salome (Sarah) SIDES (1830-1891) married William Caustin (Costin?) JOHNSON (1823-1882) (son of William JOHNSON (1786-1835) and Elizabeth ECCLES (1785-1831). Sarah and William C. were parents of nine children and are buried Friedberg Moravian Church. viii. John SIDES (1832-1834); buried at Friedberg? ix. Anna SIDES (1834-1872) married Norman FAW (1834-1874) in 1855 at Forsyth Co., NC. I don't know where they are buried (somewhere in Forsyth Co.?). They were parents of seven children of which I know little. Norman was son of Abraham FAW (1797-1876) and Zilpha HARPER (1811-1879). [email protected]
