Does anyone know anything abt the William Boyles in 1840 census for Stokes who had 65 slaves. Wm. is found on p. 184 of that census. He was enumerated with these slaves and 2 white males in his household. He apparently was a widower. Wm. was 40-50 yrs of age; the only other white person in his household was a WM age 16-20. Thanks.
