All lists hosted by Rootsweb were recently made SUBSCRIBER ONLY lists. The reason for this was the volume of Spam that was being sent through Rootsweb lists. The amount of effort by the Rootsweb folks required to block this Spam was really getting out of hand. Closing the lists to subscribers became a matter of self-preservation. This should have no impact on you as you are a subscriber or you would not be receiving this message. There are possible exceptions though. Some folks will subscribe to a mailing list with one e-mail address, and then try to post with another e-mail address.
