Only about three hours after I announced this list, we've picked up about 25 subscribers, so maybe it's time to say hello. I'd wait a bit longer, but I need to shut down early today since I have to go out this evening. I think a lot of you know me already, either recently from NCGenWeb or from further back as a Stokes/Forsyth county researcher. My father's entire family has been in this part of NC since before 1770, so I'm probably related to many of you. I'm sure we will all get better acquainted as time goes on. You probably also know that I recently took over the Stokes and Forsyth county NCGenWeb pages from Faye Moran. She's a tough act to follow, and I doubt I'll have nearly as much time as she did to dig up new primary data to post on these pages. However, contributions from the rest of you will be most welcome, and if we work together, we can make this list and the web pages into great resources for everyone. Some of the names in my family in this area: DOUB, GRABS, FREY, HAUSER, HEGE, HOLDER, LANIUS, SPAINHOUR, TRANSOU, VOLCK Please feel free to introduce yourselves and start some discussion.
