Hi all, If anyone has a copy of the Cemetery or Vital records books for Stokes Co, NC. I would like to know if there are any MOREFIELD'S, MOOREFIELDS, MOFIELD'S, MORFIELD'S or like spellings in the books covering the years 1830 to 1850. I am looking for any information on Henry MOREFIELD born 1789/1810 (depending on which census year you look at.) He married ? Elizabeth (UNKNOWN). This family was living in Pulaski County, Kentucky by 1848. They had 8 children seven of them born in NC. Henry was in the war of 1812 under the service of Capt. The 1840 Stokes County Census: Henry Morefield (Head of Household) Males 1-5, 3-10, 1-15, 1-60 Females 1-10, 1-30, 1-60 The 1850 Pulaski County Kentucky Census, District 2, page 253/254 household number 877: Moorefield, Henry 40 M Farmer 200 Ky Elizabeth 38 F NC James 21 M NC John 19 M NC Thomas 17 M NC Nancy 15 F NC Robert 9 M NC Fountain 7 M NC Addison 5 M NC Henry 3 M Ky also living with them is a Larkin COLLINS age 23 m born in Kentucky The 1860 Pulaski County, Kentucky Census has Henry's age as 71 born VA, Elizabeth is age 61 also born VA.
