Thomas bc.1732 Some info on James bc.1700: James bc.1700 was probably born in The New Bern NC. area in Craven or Chowan co.and was probably the James Stewart listed as a landowner and constable for Craven co.NC.in 1749,1750.and in other sundry court records in the county through 1755. It is believed that James followed was deeded land by his son John (in 1759) into Cumberland co.NC. John is shown as adminstrator of the estate of his father in that county in Feburary court 1761,with subsequent court records showing sales from the estate in late1761 of L49:11:1 and L69:18:4 in 1762.
