Their youngest son, Robert Jamison, Jr., b. 11 July 1816, after the death of his father, in Logan Co., KY, lived in Clarke Co., Iowa. In a bio. written on him before he died, he says both parents were born in NC, and were descendants of Scots Covenanters. Robt. Jr. m. Christina Kyte, June 1845, in Washington Co., IN. Their dau., my ancestor, Agnes Jamison, b. 31 Dec. 1809/10, in South Carolina; d. 10 Mar 1897, in Clarke Co., Iowa. She m. 4 Mar. 1832 in Monroe Twp., Washington Co., IN, William Scott (b. 1809, in KY). Robert Jamison, Sr., and Mary McWhorter had 7 children - I do not have the names of the other five. Sometime after Robert, Sr. died, Mary took her 7 children to Washington Co., IN. Do not know if she had relatives there, or went with older children who were possibly married by then, or with some other group of people traveling north.
