Dan, Stuart or Stewart was the last royal house of Scotland. The only connection I can see with Dana might be a relationship to the Dana Danu or People of Dana, who was the Celtic mother goddess. I know of no Scots king name Dana, although their might have been a pre-Scottish lord by that name. I say lord because prior to a Scots king I don't think anyone pretended toward kingship of all Scotland. Even afterwards it was a pretense until England got control.
