This year we had 4 speakers from Scotland and one from NC. We have helped a lot of descendants of NC Scots find the farm in Scotland and/or North Carolina from which their ancestors came. PURPOSE OF SOCIETY: The Society was incorporated 12 April 1992 as a nonprofit organization to promote study, research, and publication, concerning ancestry and heritage of North Carolina's Scottish Settlers. EDITORIAL POLICY: Emphasis is placed upon information pertaining to Scottish Settlers of North Carolina, their ancestors and descendants. Welcomed are family histories and manuscripts, published and unpublished articles and books. News of family and church reunions and Scottish events are solicited. Please site your sources. I am not a professional genealogist but can furnish you with the several who specialize on North Carolina. During the years of working with this material we have assisted in editing several books full of information regarding descendants of Scottish Settlers of NC.
