Nora, I hope you received my e-mail re the North Carolina Scottish Heritage Society, its Journal THE ARGYLL COLONY PLUS that I sent to NCSCOTS-L recently. I am not a professional genealogist. For the past 14 years have edited the AC+ and helped edit a few books on NC Scots. I included info on books in e-mail to NCSCOTS-L. There is a lot of McLeod information, including several Murdocks in our 650 page book CORRESPONDENCE AND DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO THE BETHUNE, KEAHEY, MCLEOD, MCFARLAND PATTERSON and other Related Scottish Highlander Families of North Carolina. We have recently found a source of information on North Carolina Mcleods and are serializing it in the Argyll Colony Plus. Our last issue had 20 pages and the next will have about the same. It tells how the McLeods lived in Skye and about their coming to settle in the area of what is today Ft Bragg, NC. There are Murdocks mentioned. I don't have time to research for you -- just telling you where you might find what you are searching for. Happy Hunting, Col. Vic Clark
