HI.. I don't know if I even belong to this group but with a name like STEVENSON I figure it must be either Scottish or English. Can anyone tell me if Capt. WILLIAM STEVENSON who died 18 July 1738 in Perquimans Co., NC.was of Scottish descent? He poss. had a bro CHARLES STEVENSON who died in Northampton, Co. NC and a bro GEORGE STEVENSON who died 17 Sec 1756 in Edgecomb Co., NC. There is a possibility that the three brothers came to the carolinas from Isle of Wight Co., VA.
