    3. Doug, I saw your post and have run across one book that covered many aspects of colonial life including cuisine. Although it did not identify Scottish cuisine per se, it did cover the subject by region of colonial america. The title of the book is, "Everyday Life in Colonial America from 1607-1783" by Dale Taylor. It is published by Writer's Digest Books, 1507 Dana Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio. It is fascinating reading.
