A great uncle of mine (grandson of Nancy Carmichael) who lived an active life until his death at about age 94, told me that he that he owed his vitality to two things. The first was that when he woke up each morning, he asked God, What good things do you have in store for me today? The second was that he had a bowl of oatmeal each morning.
