    2. I am researching the Maynor family in North Carolina (over 13 spellings so far) and am trying to make the connection between Chatham & Moore Counties and Sampson County. A summary of my information is shown below. Will be happy to share additional information! Sandy 1) WILLIAM MAYNOR (Born in Sampson County, NC according to his son's death certificate d. before 1857 ?) married CHLOE PHILLIPS (b. 1808 d. after 1870) of Chatham/Moore County (married by 1841). We "think" Chloe was the daughter of Brinkley and Elizabeth Muse Phillips of Moore Cty. Children: 2) THEANY (b. 11-27-1847 Chatham/Moore County d. 2-7-1926 Moore Cty.) m. Martin D. Davis (2-7-1881, Moore County) Stepchildren:MetaAtlas, Devotion, Lucy Ella Children: Connie, Turner, Meta 2)_ JOSEPH (JOSIAH) b. 6-11-1842 (Chatham County) (d. 7-6-1917 Durham, NC) m. Mary Ann Martindale on 10-25-1860 in Chatham County) Children: George Melton, James, John Joseph, Ellen, Addie, Nancy, Cora, Emma (Joseph's death certificate states that his father was born in Sampson Cty.) 3)_ WILLIAM JUDSON b. 6-17-1845 (Moore County)___ d. Old Soldiers Home in Raleigh NC on 9-23-1926. Buried in Glendon, NC (Moore County) m. MARY ANN PHILLIPS (of Moore/Chatham) b. 4-18-1845 ~ d. after 1884-but before 1900___ (possibly in Durham, NC) Children: William (Maness/Maner) (1861-1944 Moore County), George Henry (Maner) (1867 - ? presumed to have died in Texas after 1900), Cornealius J. (1869 - ? ~ was a barber ~ lived in Cleveland, Ohio in 1926), Malisia Alice (1872-1947), Alexander A. (1874-1946), Lonnie C. (1880 - 1917/18 Portsmouth/Norfolk VA ~ was a barber), Mary Alice (Maynard) (1884-1966), Angus Edgar (1877- ? ~ disappeared from Greensboro NC in 1927 ~ was a barber)
