    3. Is there a repository somewhere where on might find the records, minutes etc. kept by some of North Carolina's notable pastors and preachers? Namely, Rev. Fleet Cooper, Jr., Rev. William Cooper, and Rev. Edward Browne? Rev. William Cooper was a pastor at Cape Fear Baptist Church, and I believe Rev. Fleet Cooper, Jr. was pastor of Coharie (now named Rowan) Baptist Church, which was founded near Clinton in 1749. I'm not sure of Rev. Edward Browne's pastorates. I am hoping there may reside hidden in some obsure records, the marriages of some of the Cooper family, that I cannot find recorded elsewhere. Regards, Gary W. Cooper

    3. Gary, Many NC Baptist Churches have had their records microfilmed and stored in the North Carolina Historical Collection housed at Wake Forest University Library in Winston-Salem, NC. It is possible that some of these very early church records would be there. See the link below for more information: http://www.wfu.edu/Library/baptist/ I have read that the library at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA houses Baptist and Presbyterian historical records. For more information concerning this, see the link below: http://lcweb.loc.gov/rr/main/religion/uts.html I have not done research at either of these places and just pass this information along with the hope it might be helpful.
