Mary Susan Davis was the daughter of Thomas Davis and Barbary Armstrong of Duplin Co, NC. Rufus was the son of Archibald Monk and Harriet Hargrove of Sampson County. The will of B R Monk dated 26 Dec 1878 and probated in Sampson County 26 Feb 1879 mentions a daughter Mary Monk - leaves land , bureau; eds & furn. that belonged to her Ma; livestock; should Mary die without heirs, prop. to Catholic Church. Rufus Monk and Barbara McCaleb are buried at the Catholic Cemetery in Newton Grove. Seek name of Church and or Cemetery. A daughter Mary Frances Monk (1870-1939) married Marshall Flowers Troublefield (1864-1937). They died in Faison, Piney Grove Twp. I am searching for anyone that can add to this information. Seek location and name of family cemetery where they are buried. Supposedly one son of this marriage. What was the name of the son and are there any other descendants?
