    3. Does anyone have any info about the Sills family that lived in Sampson County, N. Carolina, in 1818? I am searching for info about the families of William Clemmie Sills and his wife Elizabeth Thornton Sills. They were married in Sampson County 15 November 1818. By 1830, when their eleventh child Julia Ann was born, they had moved to Monroe County, Alabama. Clement served in the War of 1812. Name is listed as Clement Sills in the pension papers for the War of 1812. He was in the Company of Capt. Thomas Sutton, Col. M. Moore, Capt. Caleb Stephens in NC militia, 3rd Regiment. Enlisted in Sampson Co., NC 10/11/1814 and discharged 3/10/1815, at Wilmington, NC. Will be grateful for any info. Have researched North Carolina Thornton families, but I have not been able to place Elizabeth Thornton Sills in any family. Help is needed!!! Thank you.
