The NC Gazetteer says that Ray's Branch rises in NE Wake County near the Franklin County line and flows S into Neuse River. Would this help?

It helps, I think. : - ) Problem (for me) is the applicant who filed for the land lived in Bladen Co., NC. I can't figure why he would have applied/entered for land so far away? Or maybe I should get a map and try to figure the lay of the land and where Ray's Branch comes into Bladen.
